Acquired by Nacon at the end of 2021, the French studio Ishtar Games is now presenting ambitious new plans. The developers behind Dead in Vinland and very good The Last Spellhave just announced that they will also be embarking on publishing indie games for the next year under the label Ishtar Games Publishing. On the program, three titles, all in the viewfinder of 2023.
A new French player in publishing
Illustrated by a trailer, Ishtar Games’ 2023 line-up will consist of three titles, starting with Lakeburg Legacies. A village management simulator centered on social interactions, this is a game developed internally by their teams, which they will therefore self-publish. You may have already seen it during a previous AG French Direct.
The other two signed projects also come from French studios. Spirited Thief, developed by Koi Snowman Games, presents itself as a tactical infiltration game where you have to take your time to explore and plan your heist. Last but not least, Ludogram approached Ishtar Games to publish Aria’s Worldsadaptation of the role-playing game Aria imagined by FibreTigre and staged in Game of Roles.

Lakeburg Legacies, Spirited Thied and Aria’s Worlds (Worlds of Aria in English) are still in development and will be released in 2023. The first two are planned for PC, Aria is also hoping for a console arrival.
