Islets, free game of the week on the EGS – Gamosaurus

For this week, Epic Games is offering to bring together a world in a colorful universe. And for this, it is Islets which is offered on EGS from March 28 to April 4. An action-adventure game, this is a metroidvania with a somewhat unusual construction since it will be necessary to bring together the different biomes in a single map.

Filled with hope, Iko is a budding warrior who explores heaven and earth in order to unite a series of floating islands. Equipped with a simple weapon, he undertakes this journey in a dilapidated ship. Its objective is simple, to reactivate the magnetic core of each island. But his adventure will not be easy. A horde of creatures stands in his way, seeking to prevent him from succeeding in his endeavor.

Like any good metroidvania, Islets is a game that encourages you to constantly retrace your steps. But here, in addition to the various improvements that reveal new paths, bringing the islands together also highlights new locations. Exploration, excavation and curiosity are greatly redesigned. But kindness too, since it is possible to make friends with the different characters you meet during your adventure.
