It is a dive into the horror of October 7 in Israel. The Israeli military released footage of the Hamas attack for the first time since the assault to the foreign press. Recovered via surveillance cameras or the terrorists’ phones, they show the extent of the horrors committed that day.
For the first time since the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7, the Israeli army broadcast images of the assault, in a 45-minute video. These were recovered via surveillance cameras, the victims’ cell phones and images filmed by the terrorists themselves during these massacres. This is a real dive into horror. Faced with the cruelty, many journalists say they looked away at certain moments, others preferred to leave the room, explains the special correspondent for Europe 1, present at the screening.
It must be said that the images are atrocious. In one of these videos, terrorists can be seen stopping a vehicle and shooting the driver in cold blood. Others show people being burned alive, children executed, two little boys screaming as they witness the assassination of their father. The videos also show hostages being loaded into trucks, while Hamas men dance around the vehicle. In the eyes of the Israelis embarked towards Gaza: terror.
Ultimately, these images reveal the raw horror of October 7 which will forever mark the minds of Israel.
Images that are not shown to families
All these massacres are part of a carefully executed plan by Hamas, according to General Michael Edelstein who himself questioned one of the terrorists arrested by the army. “He had orders to take hostages and kill families in the cruelest way possible. They wanted Israel to understand how evil they are, those are his own words,” he tells Europe 1. The general adds that he had proof of the involvement of the Iranians. “Not just in terms of aid, but much more than that. They built training centers in Gaza and they trained very professionally. Unfortunately, they acted like the devil, that’s how it is that they have trained themselves to act”, he laments at the microphone of Europe 1.
These videos were shown only to the foreign press. The Israeli population will not see them to spare families the violence of these images.
