An Israeli attack on a refugee camp in the Gaza Strip left dozens of people dead. The Health Ministry, run by the radical Islamic group Hamas, said 50 people had been killed. The AFP news agency reports, citing its own footage, that at least 47 bodies were recovered from the rubble. The director of the Indonesian hospital in the Gaza Strip spoke on the Arabic TV channel Al Jazeera of at least 50 deaths.

The Ministry of Health said that numerous other people were injured in the bombing of the Jabalia refugee camp in the north of the Palestinian territory. “At least 20 buildings” were destroyed in the attack.

The Israeli army reported at the X intelligence service that there had been operations in Jabalia in the past few days. Terrorists were trained in the area and there were also terrorist actions from there. During the army’s deployment, around 50 terrorists were eliminated and tunnels and weapons were destroyed.

Hamas attacked Israel on October 7th and killed more than 1,400 people, mostly civilians. Since then, Israel has been bombarding the Gaza Strip continuously. According to new information from the Hamas government, more than 8,500 people were killed. Israel is also continuing its offensive with ground troops in the Palestinian territory despite international calls for a humanitarian ceasefire.

According to the UN, more than 100,000 people live in the 1.4 square kilometer camp, which has existed since 1948.
