On the set of It starts today this Tuesday, October 25, Faustine Bollaert confided in a funny night she spent … eyes glued to her phone.
For Faustine Bollaert, no means no. Very close to the guests she receives on the set of her shows, the France 2 host is also close to her fans on social networks. If she’s very active on Twitter or Instagram, there’s one she can’t stand. This Tuesday, October 25, she took advantage of an issue of It starts today entitled Loneliness, addictions, harassment: Behind the scenes of social networks to confide in his past addiction: TikTok. “I wanted to see what TikTok was like. I thought there was a parallel world that I don’t know about. I signed up a few months ago. The first night, I went there at 22 hours, she remembered. I didn’t realize that I stayed until two in the morning.”
“The next morning, I woke up. I said to myself that I had not seen the time pass. In fact, I absolutely wanted to see the video after”, added Faustine Bollaert, very worried about the repercussions that this popular video application can have among young people. The facilitator, usually not “social media addict” very quickly felt that she could be from TikTok. According to her, this application in particular is addictive… In order not to give in, Faustine Bollaert therefore made a big decision: that of deleting this application from her mobile phone. “I deleted the app thinking it was dangerous for my real life, explained Faustine Bollaert. It’s so time-consuming.”
Faustine Bollaert: “It all seemed lunar to me”
On TikTok, the host of It starts today said that she discovered “everybody” that she didn’t know and didn’t love the virtual experience… “It all seemed lunar to me, she added on the set of the France 2 afternoon show. I tell myself that there is already a whole world to swallow in our real life, so as not to add new questions to me through this social network. It goes so fast… These are videos that last ten seconds. We always want to see the end. Sometimes it’s stupid.” Faustine Bollaert therefore prefers real life to virtual life but still remains attached to more traditional social networks, which she masters much better!
