While season 3 of “HPI” has just ended on TF1, Pierre Laugier, the producer of the series, returned to what awaits Morgane and Karadec in season 4, which should start filming soon.
On Thursday June 29, HPI bowed out on TF1 with the broadcast of the last episode of season 3. A breathless finale that left fans of the detective series worn by Audrey Fleurot and Mehdi Nebbou on a formidable cliffhanger.
In the last minutes of episode 8, while Morgana was still reeling from Karadec’s brutal decision to end their budding relationship, she was shocked to learn that she was 15 to 16 weeks pregnant.
But who of Timothée (Jeremy Lewin), David (Doudou Masta) or Karadec could well be the father of the baby? It is on this unbearable suspense that season 3 ended. A finale that only bodes well for season 4, which has already been commissioned by TF1, and whose filming should begin this summer. .
According to HPI producer Pierre Laugier, this new burst of episodes promises to be explosive. “This cliffhanger is so gripping. He reshuffles all the cards and gives material for season 4, the writing of which is already well advanced.“, he confided in an interview granted to TF1 News.
“As Morgane and Karadec began to get very dangerously close to what could look like a romantic relationship, they have never been so far from it.”. But Morgane’s pregnancy risks changing everything for the policeman:
“He has distanced himself from her, but he will learn that they slept together and that he may be the father of the child she is carrying. It’s going to be a shock for him”.
Morgane’s life will also be turned upside down in this season 4. “The mess she made in other people’s lives will come to her. It will come from his ex, his children, his colleagues and even his former cellmates.”
“Morgane will continue to chain the galleys while living a pregnancy a little late and always in this precariousness which characterizes her. And then we do not know what the rise of hormones will cause in his brain!”.
Of course, the paternity of Morgane Alvaro’s baby is going to be one of the great mysteries of this new burst of episodes from HPI. “Who is the father of her future child? It will be the big investigation of season 4. This time, we are not looking for a murderer, but a parent!“, says the producer who reveals that the new season will also include a special episode that will allow fans to understand where the deep love between Morgane and Karadec comes from.
