Highly anticipated by fans, season 3 of The Bridgerton Chronicles, directed by new showrunner Jess Brownell, screenwriter for the series Scandal and Inventing Anna, already promises to spark.
This third round of episodes focused on the couple formed by Penelope (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin (Luke Newton), adored by readers of Julia Quinn’s novels.
In addition to this romance which will offer us sensual scenes, not to be shown to the whole family, season 3 of Bridgerton will continue the romantic, dramatic and family adventures of London’s high society during the English Regency of the 19th century.
Between argument and passion
Season 3 of Bridgerton promises to be eventful for Colin and Penelope, as evidenced by the new teaser unveiled by Netflix. This is a scene taken from the first episode, which occurs at the very beginning of the book dedicated to Penelope and Colin.
In this sequence, Colin admits to Penelope that he missed her and that he was sad that she didn’t answer his letters. The latter replies that she heard him at last year’s ball say that he would never court her.
The tension rises a notch between the two, between their long friendship and repressed feelings, which will lead to a passionate and sensual love between the protagonists. But they won’t be the only ones to raise the temperature, as Luke Newton confided:
“It’s just hot in high society. There are a lot of people in high society who raise the temperature. It’s not just us!”
Episode titles revealed
In addition, Netflix revealed the titles of the eight episodes of this new season: “Out of the Shadows”, “How Bright the Moon”, “Forces of Nature”, “Old Friends”, “Tick Tock”, “Romancing Mister Bridgerton ”, “Joining of Hands” and “Into the Light”.
In the cast of this third season, we will find Claudia Jessie (Eloise Bridgerton), Luke Thompson (Benedict Bridgerton), Golda Rosheuve (Queen Charlotte), Adjoa Andoh (Lady Danbury), Jessica Madsen (Cressida Cowper), Martins Imhangbe (Will Mondrich) , Emma Naomi (Alice Mondrich), Bessie Carter (Prudence Featherington), Harriet Cains (Philipa Featherington) as well as Sam Phillips playing Lord Debling, who will court Penelope.
Fans will be able to discover season 3 of Bridgerton in two parts. The first batch of episodes should be released on May 16, 2024, while the second batch should go online on June 13, 2024.
