Mavericks lose and worry about Doncic

Setback for the Dallas Mavericks: The Texas team suffers defeat in the race for a good playoff place and also worries about Luka Doncic. The Slovenian top star Doncic leaves the field at the end of the third quarter and does not come back.
The Dallas Mavericks had a frustrating night in the NBA, losing to the New Orleans Pelicans. Without the ailing Maxi Kleber, the Texans conceded a 106:113 and had to do without the injured Luka Doncic at the end of the game. “It’s not good,” said the Slovenian in a first reaction, according to the Mavericks he probably suffered a strain in his left thigh. An investigation should now provide information about the length of the forced break
The top pitcher for the Mavs was Kyrie Irving with 27 points. For the Pelicans, CJ McCollum topped the game with 32 points, making sure Brandon Ingram’s absence didn’t matter too much. While the Pelicans defended tenth place and entry into the play-in for the playoffs, the Mavericks failed to move back up to sixth. Only the top six teams in the Western Conference qualify for the playoffs.
The Denver Nuggets don’t have to worry about that. Although the team lost 96-117 to the Chicago Bulls, as the league leaders, the team still has a large lead in second place. The Phoenix Suns won 132-101 against the Oklahoma City Thunder but had to postpone new signing Kevin Durant’s home debut. The NBA superstar slipped while warming up and didn’t play along. All of his previous three appearances for his new team have been away.
With 44 points, Suns star Devin Booker once again showed an outstanding performance. He was well supported by Terrence Ross, who scored 24 points coming from the bench. The best thrower in the Thunder was Lindy Waters III (23).
