The Korean manufacturer Topsecret has designed an electric bike with an extraordinary design and unique characteristics. In addition to being bulletproof, its tires are mounted on wheels without spokes or hubs, giving it a definitely futuristic look.

Here is an electric bike that does nothing like the others. The Topsecret from the eponymous Korean company appeals with its unique design and some new functions. Already, its enormous curved frame – made of aluminum and titanium – gives it a massive appearance. And yet, its weight of “only” 26 kg seems correct given its size.

A futuristic look

Then, the 26-inch wheels without any spokes or hubs give it a definitively futuristic and timeless look. This clearly has its effect. Airless tires would be able to resist bullets and explosions, assures the brand. It’s definitely questionable how useful this feature really is.

According to eBikeNews, a gear system has been integrated into the wheel to transfer the engine’s power to it. A central motor that does not do anything by half measures with a power of 750 W and a gigantic torque of 140 Nm. This configuration theoretically allows it to exceed 25 km/h thanks to electric assistance.

A 25 km/h version would be planned

Beyond this limit, European law no longer considers it as an electric bike, but as a speedbike governed by much stricter rules. Except that according to the German media, a version capable of 25 km/h is also in the brand’s plans.

To support all this power over time, Topsecret has logically installed a more than generous battery: 960 Wh of capacity, for a range given to 130 km. Recharging lasts at least five hours with the classic charger, compared to one hour with a fast charger available as an option.

A price still to be defined

The project engineers had to be resourceful to install the Shimano XTR hydraulic disc brakes: a brake disc is attached to the front wheel, directly to the rim. A smaller disc would have been fitted to the rear wheel.

Available in blue, red, khaki and beige, the Topsecret still maintains a mystery as to its price and release date. We imagine that the project is still in development, and thatultimatelythe price should greatly soar.
