If Hugh Jackman joins Ryan Reynolds in the cast of “Deadpool 3” it will not be the case of TJ Miller, who played the role of Weasel, the friend of Wade Wilson aka Deadpool since the first feature film.
Present from the first Deadpool film, the American actor TJ Miller, who played Weasel the friend of Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds), will not be in the cast of Deadpool 3.
Podcast guest Adam Corolla ShowWhen asked about his relationship with Ryan Reynolds, TJ Miller told the presenter that he had no plans to work with Reynolds again, who he said has changed since the success of the first film.
The latter said: “I got on much better with him on the first Deadpool because he wasn’t a huge movie star. Would I work with him again? No, I wouldn’t work with him again.”.
He then clarifies:But I said that about Michael Bay, and now we’re friends, and I would work with him again. But I think Michael Bay is different.”

The actor continues:It’s weird that he hates me” before describing an embarrassing moment experienced during the filming of the feature film:
“We had a really weird moment while filming Deadpool. Ryan Reynolds said to me, “Let’s do one last take,” and he was horribly mean to me, like I was a Weasel. Then added, “You know what’s great about you, Weasel? You’re not the star, but you just do enough to make it funny, and then we can get on with the real movie.“

A way to make the actor understand that he is only the sidekick of the main character. Because of this bad experience, the actor does not want to return to Shawn Levy’s third opus.
He assures :
I wouldn’t have done Deadpool 3 even if they had come to me and said, “We want you to do Deadpool 3 and we’re going to pay you twice as much.”
Before specifying, however, that no one has offered him to resume his role.
Miller finally finishes: “I just think he doesn’t like me, but I found the way he expressed it weird. I’m at a point in my life where I don’t need to do Deadpool 3“.
Accused of sexual assault
As a reminder, in 2017, TJ Miller was accused of sexual assault and violence by a former college classmate. Charges that the actor has denied in block.
His participation in the film Deadpool 2 has not been called into question because, as producer Lauren Shuler Donner then specified, the “editing of the film was in the process of being finalized”. The team was not going to make disappear the character of Weasel, best friend of the hero.
But the latter had however specified that the future of TJ Miller within the franchise “was not very clear and that all this depended on the studios“. Disney and Marvel seem to have decided by not bringing the character back in Deadpool’s third adventure.

A decision that will certainly not have pleased the actor.
In 2018, TJ Miller left the HBO series Silicon Valley after two seasons after several complaints from his colleagues about his behavior. Actress Alice Wetterlund called him “brute” and of “angry brate”. Since then, the comedian and humorist has only appeared in 2 films: Underwater and Le Beau Role.
The filming of Deadpool 3 is due to debut in January 2023 for a scheduled release in our theaters on September 4, 2024.
