“Jackass Forever,” the latest and final theatrical film from MTV’s mayhem squad, is rumored to be released on Netflix at the end of May. Now nothing will come of it. Netzwelt reveals the reasons.

- The last film from Johnny Knoxville’s cult troupe was supposed to be released on Netflix in May.
- Now it is clear: not “Jackass Forever”, but another new “Jackass” film starts!
An unexpected highlight was hidden in the overview of the Netflix novelties for the month of May: “Jackass Forever”, which only started in German cinemas on March 10, 2022, was supposed to land on Netflix on May 20, 2022 – even before the release on DVD and Blu-Ray.
That’s unusual, but not impossible, after all, “Jackass Forever” is also already being streamed in the USA, but on Paramount+ there. There was still reason for skepticism, as Netflix announced the film “Jackass 4.5” in the USA for May 20, 2022.
Previous “Jackass” films have been released with this numbering, consisting of cut scenes, making a shorter but completely new film.
Upon request, Netflix has now confirmed to us that it is not “Jackass Forever” but “Jackass 4.5” that will start on May 20, 2022 in the German Netflix offer. So this was an error in the program announcement.
Since “Jackass Forever” will be released on DVD and Blu-Ray in Germany on June 9, 2022, you should be able to buy the film digitally by the end of May. As an alternative, you already have the opportunity to stream the latest stunts by Johnny Knoxville and Co. on Paramount+ or iTunes.
