Every year Dannielynn Birkhead, 17, daughter of model Anna Nicole Smith (†), visits the Kentucky Derby with her father Larry Birkhead, 51. The photographer is now sharing some snapshots of and with the 17-year-old on Instagram. She looks more and more like her late mother.

Dannielynn Birkhead shines in her outfit

In the red floor-length dress with ruffles and a floral hat, Anna Nicole Smith’s daughter attracts a lot of attention. Her smile is as bright as the colors of her dress. Dad Larry Birkhead also looked dapper at the derby, wearing a gray suit, white button-up shirt and black shoes. “Heading to the @kentuckyderby with Dannielynn after a great night at the Barnstable-Brown Gala and a quick morning haircut or two,” the 51-year-old captioned the post.

“I’m just trying to spend some quality time as the weekend of traditions comes to an end,” the photographer adds. At last year’s gala, Larry shared that he met Anna Nicole Smith at the same event 20 years ago.

Dannielynn is the spitting image of her mom

In September 2006 the two became parents to Dannielynn. Anna Nicole Smith initially claimed to be her lawyer and partner Howard K. Stern, 55, is the father of her daughter. Birkhead denied this and demanded a DNA test which proved otherwise. The older Dannielynn gets, the more she looks like her mother.

At the age of 39, Anna Nicole Smith tragically died of an overdose. In the Netflix documentary “Anna Nicole Smith: You don’t know me” the background to Smith’s scandalous life is illuminated again. Since her death, Larry Birkhead has been a single father to Dannielynn and they continue the family traditions annually to this day.
