As he prepares to start a family tour, Jacques Durtonc seems in great shape! His son Thomas posted on Instagram a photo of him and the 79-year-old singer, surrounded by their musicians. Great news before starting shows that promise to be exceptional.
At 79 and after a five-year break, Jacques Dutronc is ready for his comeback. The singer will indeed begin a tour alongside his son Thomas Dutronc. And to celebrate the event, Thomas posted a photo on his Instagram account on which we can see his father who looks in good shape. On the picture, the two men are surrounded by their musicians. Jacques poses as usual with a cigar in hand and sunglasses, dressed in a khaki jacket and a big black scarf.
Father and son will headline the tour Dutronc & Dutronc which will begin next April, and should last until February 2023. This is Jacques Dutronc’s first tour since that of the Vieilles Canailles, five years ago, alongside his great friends Eddy Mitchell and Johnny Hallyday. But in order to go the distance, Jacques Dutronc will still be spared during the tour, because he should only sing five or six songs a night, while Thomas will take care of the restas they had announced on the set of the JT of France 2. “At first, I wanted to do all of dad’s. I am his number one fan and I want people to pay tribute to his extraordinary talent”, explained Thomas.
Françoise Hardy still recovering
Very good news for the Dutronc family, even if they continue to worry about the state of health of Francois Hardy. Wife of Jacques and mother of Thomas, the singer has been facing cancer for a few years. To fight the disease, she had resorted to radiotherapy sessions, which left her with some after-effects. “She had cancer but there is no recurrence, just everyday problems, serious discomfort related to the sequelae of chemo and radiotherapy”, had explained Thomas Dutronc. Recently, her friend and composer Erick Bazin confided in Le Parisien that she “unfortunately can no longer sing”.
