It was recently revealed that Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith have been separated for seven years. But what do your children think about it?

It was one of the most surprising celebrity reports of the past few days: Jada Pinkett Smith (52) has revealed that she and her husband, Hollywood star Will Smith (55), have been living separately for around seven years. An anonymous source has now revealed to “DailyMail.com” how the couple’s children supposedly perceive the situation.

Although Jaden Smith, 25, and sister Willow, 22, “love their mother more than anything and adopt many of her behaviors and traits, they are very relieved that the news has finally gotten out so everyone can move on […]”, claims the insider.

Only the truth in the Smith house

The source goes on to say, “They all want everyone to be true to themselves and not hold grudges or keep secrets.” The two hope that now that everything has come to light, “everyone can heal and eliminate any drama that may still be in their worlds.”

Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith married in 1997. He brought his son Trey (30), who comes from a previous relationship, into the marriage. As part of the upcoming release of her book “Worthy”, which will be released on October 17th, the actress the US magazine “People” about the status quo of their relationship today: “We’re still figuring it out. […] We just have a deep love for each other and we’ll figure out what that looks like for us.”

Will Smith and the slap

Jada Pinkett Smith also addressed the infamous Oscar slap. Will Smith slapped comedian Chris Rock (58) at the Oscars last year after he made a joke about the star’s wife. At the time, Smith raged that Rock shouldn’t put his wife’s name in his “damn mouth.” At that point, the couple had already been separated for years.

“It’s a sketch,” she initially thought – as did many other people who watched the incident live on TV. “I thought, ‘There’s no way Will hit him,'” she recalled. “It wasn’t until Will went back to his chair that I realized it wasn’t a skit.” When they were alone after the show, she asked him: “Are you okay?”
