Jade and Joy Hallyday grantedSeven to Eight(TF1) their first ever television interview this Sunday, December 10. To do this, the two girls, aged 19 and 15 respectively, opened the doors of their Californian home, in Los Angeles, to our colleagues. A place where they moved after the disappearance of Johnny Hallyday in 2017, who died following a lung cancer. Since this tragedy, the Hallyday clan has become a little more dividedwith on one side Laeticia and her two daughters, and on the other the elders of Taulier, Laura Smet and David Hallyday.

We didn’t see each other often, already because they lived in France and we here. Afterwards, we spent many Christmases together”, Joy indicated to our colleagues. And he added hesitantly: “I feel like it was a bit… Not forced, but a little nonetheless.” A feeling shared by her big sister who indicated that she did not have the impression that Laura and David were “sincere” towards them. “Johnny has often said that he regrets not having seen his two eldest children, David and Laura, grow up, did you know that?”, journalist Audrey Crespo-Mara subsequently questioned them. “Yes, but we didn’t talk about it”, simply replied the youngest daughter of the interpreter of “L’Envie”. According to Jade and Joy Hallyday, their illustrious mother would have tried to strengthen ties, in vain… “It was especially our mother who tried to rebuild this family which was so broken down”, declared the first. And to add: “She tried to bring them closer together, to have a better relationship between our father and David and Laura. But in the end, when he was sick, he spent more time with us, because he felt good with my sister, mom and me. He didn’t have the same relationship with them only with us.”

A war which therefore deeply marked the adopted daughters of Laeticia Hallyday. “Me, I had a pretty bad experience because I took it as a betrayal, an abandonment”, the youngest admitted with difficulty. And Jade shares her sister’s opinion by completing her words: “Yes, a betrayal of our own family.” According to them, Laura Smet and David Hallyday would have made beautiful confidences to them at the time of the burial of the idol of young people at the Lorient cemetery, in Saint-Barthélemy. “They made us promises. They said they would always be there for us and that we would see each other regularly”, revealed Joy.
