JAMES BOND

After Daniel Craig’s exit, the question of the next James Bond remains unresolved. Now a “Bullet Train” star is considered a hot contender for the 007 successor.

  • The search for a new James Bond could be over.
  • Aaron-Taylor Johnson is said to be the favorite to succeed Daniel Craig.
  • Most recently, Taylor-Johnson made a good showing in Bullet Train.

While Daniel Craig solves a new intriguing case as Benoit Blanc in Glass Onion on Netflix, the search for the new James Bond continues in the UK. Numerous famous names have already been mentioned in connection with the 007 search, including Idris Elba, Henry Cavill and Tom Hardy.

Especially with Elba and Hardy, however, their age should become a problem, since the next Bond is of course supposed to play in several films and must therefore be young enough to pass as a capable double zero agent for many years to come.

A suitable candidate is said to have been found in Aaron Taylor-Johnson, at least there are reports of a meeting between Taylor-Johnson and Bond producer Barbara Broccoli. Taylor-Johnson, who became famous with films like “Kick-Ass” or “Slutty Nuts,” most recently proved his talent as an action star in “Bullet Train” alongside Brad Pitt.

Whether Taylor-Johnson will really become the next James Bond will be revealed in the course of the year. However, a new 007 film cannot be expected before 2025, when fans would have had enough time to say goodbye to the Craig era.
