James Bond quiz: only a real MI6 agent can put these films back in order!

The arrival on Canal+ of “Dying Can Wait”, the ultimate incarnation of Agent 007 by Daniel Craig, is a good excuse to test yourself on the saga. The goal of your mission: replace the films in the order of their release!

In this month of April, CANAL+ offers a “Leap” in time to the public with the publication online of the complete version of the most famous of the sagas. The date chosen is facetious and well seen: it is today (00)7 April that you can find the 26 James Bond films (the 24 produced by EON and the 2 others).

You will then have 9 days to concoct a marathon in good and due form, before diving into Dying can wait, which, itself, tumbles on April 16. Thanks to the new media chronology, the ultimate film worn by Daniel Craig arrives on CANAL+ and myCANAL six months after its theatrical release.

So it’s a good excuse to test yourself on the saga! Can you place these ten films of the (mis)adventures of agent 007 in the order of their theatrical release?

While there was strong talk that Daniel Craig would not take over the character of James Bond after 007 Spectre, the actor finally returned. He justified this choice as follows: “If I had quit after Spectre, there would be something deep inside of me that would have made me think, ‘if only I had done one more.’ ‘set in my head, and how far I’d like to take it. And Specter didn’t allow me that. But this one makes me think so.”

Since Sam Mendes did not want to return to the controls, MGM and Eon considered Yann Demange, Denis Villeneuve and David McKenzie to direct. Danny Boyle was then chosen and began to work on the film… Until he left the ship due to artistic disputes! Cary Joji Fukunaga, to whom we owe, among other things, the first season of True Detective, then replaced him.

What about the future of 007 on the big screen since the colossal takeover of MGM by Amazon, finalized last March? The representative of the company founded by Jeff Bezos wanted to be reassuring, saying “that there are no plans to make any changes to the Bond franchise”. Still, Daniel Craig having hung up the suit in the closet, a new era is dawning…
