A real Oscar winner will slip into the role of Mike Tyson in a miniseries: Hollywood star Jamie Foxx.

In 2004, Jamie Foxx (53) impressively demonstrated that he can portray real people from contemporary history – he received an Oscar for his performance by the blind musician Ray Charles (1939-2004) in “Ray”. Instead of sitting at the piano, however, he will have to step into the ring for his next project. According to “Variety”, he will be featured in an announced miniseries, which is produced by Martin Scorsese (78), among others, embody the scandal boxer Mike Tyson (54).

The biographical mini-series will therefore have the title “Tyson” and will be implemented by director Antoine Fuqua (55, “Training Day”). So far, no broadcaster or streaming service has struck the rights to the project, but given the well-known line-up in front of and behind the camera, this is probably only a matter of time. The mini-series, which has not yet been set to any number of episodes, will portray the entire life of the boxer, including the scandalous moment in 1997 when Tyson bit off a piece of his opponent Evander Holyfield’s (58) ear in the ring and then lost his boxing license in the meantime.

According to the report, Tyson is excited to use the series to tell his story and to work with “Martin, Antoine, Jamie and the entire team to give people a series that not only reflects my professional and personal journey, but also inspires and.” entertains.” Tyson is one of the executive producers along with his wife Kiki.
