Jan Fedder: The last "Metropolitan Area" episode with him is broadcast

The late actor Jan Fedder (1955-2019) can be seen for the last time this Monday (March 23) in a new episode of the popular evening series "Großstadtrevier" (since 1991) as policeman Dirk Matthies. "Key moments" will be broadcast from 18:50 to 19:45 in the first. It is the 9th of 16 episodes of the current 33rd season. Fedder has been there since episode 37 (1992) and is the undisputed favorite of the series.

This is what "key moments" is about

Nele Jansen (Emilia Nöth), who grew up in difficult circumstances, believes that her training with key maker Hans Adler is on the way to a better future. This hope is suddenly destroyed when Adler dies unexpectedly and the successor to his shop remains unclear. Harry Möller (Maria Ketikidou) and Piet Wellbrook (Peter Fieseler) are several burglaries in the business. They get involved not only in criminal but also in family matters.

Dirk Matthies (Jan Fedder) is observing the Swiss Urs Jäggi (Daniel Rohr), who is suspected of using charity tournaments to sell cocaine in beach volleyball. Lukas Petersen (Patrick Abozen) and Jessy Jahnke (Farina Flebbe) investigate whether there is a connection here and have to look closely to crack this case …

Series star died in late December

Jan Fedder died on December 30, 2019 at the age of 64 in his Hamburg apartment. With great sympathy from the population, the funeral service personally planned by Fedder during his lifetime took place on January 14, 2020, his 65th birthday, in the Michel in Hamburg. Then there was a funeral convoy through St. Pauli's streets. Two days later the Hamburg artist was buried in the closest family and friends in the Ohlsdorf cemetery.
