The new news program “RTL Direkt” with Jan Hofer and Pinar Atalay will be on the air at the same time as the “Tagesthemen”.
RTL’s challenge: As the Cologne broadcaster, which is in the midst of restructuring, has now announced that the new news program “RTL Direkt” with Jan Hofer (69) and Pinar Atalay (43) will be the “Tagesthemen” in the first at the same time Be broadcast. Every Monday to Thursday (10:15 p.m. each time) and alternately, Hofer and Atalay will present the 20-minute news format. It will start on August 16.
The two former news anchors for the public service are thus entering into direct competition with their former employer.
