TOKYO, Jan 26 (Reuters) – Japan and the United States will cooperate closely if Russia invades Ukraine, a Japanese government spokesman said on Wednesday.
The major Western powers fear a new offensive from Russia, which annexed the Crime Peninsula in 2014 and has massed tens of thousands of soldiers on the Ukrainian border in recent months. (Report Sakura Murakami; French version Camille Raynaud)
