Jay Leno has suffered “serious burns”. But he will get back on his feet, says the talk show host himself.

Jay Leno (72) has apparently been seriously injured. However, the US talk show legend has confirmed that she appears to be doing reasonably well given the circumstances. Leno was burned in an incident believed to have taken place in a Los Angeles garage.

What happened?

Gasoline ignited and “I suffered a few serious burns”, confirms Leno to the US industry magazine “Variety”. “I’m okay,” assures the 72-year-old. It only takes him a week or two to get back on his feet.

That Gossip portal “TMZ” had previously reportedthat a car allegedly caught fire in a talk show host’s garage. Accordingly, he was allegedly injured in the face and the talk show host is in a facility specializing in burn injuries. First, the magazine “People” had writtenthat Leno had to cancel a planned attendance at a conference in Las Vegas. There was a “very serious medical emergency”, which is why Leno could not travel, said in an email to the participants.

Leno is best known as the host of The Tonight Show. The comedian took over the role of talk show host from Johnny Carson (1925-2005) in 1992 and ran the show until 2009. Leno was briefly followed by Conan O’Brien (59) until the 72-year-old returned to the show in 2010 and moderated it until 2014. Since then, Jimmy Fallon (48) has appeared on the “Tonight Show”.
