(CercleFinance.com) – JCDecaux announces more than 9.1 million Vélo’v rentals in 2021, an absolute record since the service was deployed in 2005.
Rentals are up 28% in 2021 compared to 2020, which corresponds to an average of 25,000 rentals per day. The Vélo’v service had more than 76,000 long-term subscribers as of December 31, 2021 and had more than 540,000 short-term tickets sold in 2021.
JCDecaux operates 5,000 Vélo’v in the Greater Lyon area, the largest bicycle fleet in France after Paris.
The deployment of 80 additional stations was completed on October 1, 2021, bringing the total number of stations to 429, spread over 22 municipalities.
