(Boursier.com) — With a surge of more than 13% this Friday, JCDecaux signs the rise of the week on the SBF120 thanks to a gain of around 10%. Investors welcomed the strong acceleration in the activity of the outdoor advertising and street furniture specialist at the end of the year. The company reported Thursday evening adjusted revenue of 955.8 million euros in the fourth quarter, up 37.5% (+34.7% organically). The consensus was positioned at 883.3 ME. Over the whole of the 2021 financial year, revenues increased by 18.7% to 2.74 billion euros.

“All geographies grew strongly in the fourth quarter. Europe (including France and the United Kingdom) achieved revenues very close to those of the fourth quarter of 2019,” said Jean-François Decaux, Chairman of the Management Board.

Berenberg speaks of an “exceptional” fourth quarter. Despite new confinements and restrictions, JCDecaux has exceeded all expectations, says the analyst, on the ‘buy’ on the file. “Remarkably, the biggest overrun (note: compared to forecasts) was recorded in the segments with the highest operating leverage”. Oddo BHF (‘neutral’) also highlights this better-than-expected T4, especially in street furniture with
therefore an effect on the margin.
