JCDecaux: reinforces its energy sobriety measures – 10/10/2022 at 6:13 p.m.


(CercleFinance.com) – JCDecaux announces that it is strengthening its commitment to energy sobriety in France, in particular by supporting all of its partners, local authorities, transport companies, airports and advertisers.

In order to achieve a 10% reduction in its total energy footprint by 2024 (vs 2019) JCDecaux announces the continuation of the transition to LED lighting in its buildings, the strengthening of their insulation, the continuation of equipping buildings with a Building Automation and Control System (BACS), lower fuel consumption thanks to eco-driving practices, optimization of rounds

upkeep and maintenance and the pursuit of the ecological renewal of the fleet.

JCDecaux also intends to maintain its buildings at 19°C when they are occupied and assures that concerning its water networks, ‘the equipment is already isolated and the maintenance regularly carried out.’

JCDecaux also announces an increase in its investments in terms of energy sobriety, beyond those already committed to in its plan.

The company adds that the objective of covering 100% of its electricity consumption with electricity from renewable sources has been achieved in France since 2019 and will be achieved worldwide from the end of 2022.
