JCDecaux: wins the Toulouse bicycle contract

(CercleFinance.com) – JCDecaux announces that it has won, following a call for tenders, the contract for self-service bicycles for the City of Toulouse (4th French city).

Ultimately, 50% of the new fleet will be made up of electrically assisted bicycles with on-board and rechargeable battery at the station.

This new 12-year contract will initially cover 400 stations, i.e. 117 stations more than the current market, and 3,300 new bicycles, in order to meet the expectations of the community and the growing demand of Toulouse residents in terms of sustainable mobility.

This partnership could eventually evolve through the supply of 3,825 bicycles and 475 stations in order to extend this service to peripheral municipalities such as: Aucamville, Balma, Blagnac, Colomiers, Labège, L’Union, Quint-Fonsegrives, Ramonville- Saint-Agne and Saint-Orens-de-Gameville.
