The members of the government met this evening in Matignon, after the invitation of Prime Minister Jean Castex, who held his last council of ministers yesterday.
After being “solemnly thanked” by Emmanuel Macron for the work accomplished with his government, Jean Castex had brought together all the ministers this Thursday evening at Matignon.
He was applauded for a long time by all the guests. The Minister Delegate to the Minister of the Interior Marlène Schiappa shared this moment of conviviality, in a video posted on her Twitter account.

Government spokesman Gabriel Attal said he was “honored” to have been able to serve France, alongside its Prime Minister. His message is accompanied by a photo of Jean Castex receiving a jersey from the French rugby team, autographed by all the ministers.
While Emmanuel Macron is soon to announce the name of his successor, Jean Castex has not communicated on his future.
