Mistrust is, according to the councilor of Neuilly-sur-Seine (Hauts-de-Seine), the source of many evils that plague a society. “Distrust prevents entrepreneurship, it prevents investment, condemns solidarity because when you don’t trust, you are distant.”
The only solution to enable France to be put back on a sound footing is the return of trust. “If we don’t re-establish a political project, a social project in which trust is central, we risk having these individualisms, these corporatism, these communitarianisms, which block the whole future of our society”, confides Jean-Christophe Fromantin.
