Jean-Claude Narcy celebrates his 86th birthday this Tuesday, January 16. The opportunity to take an interest in the former journalist, in particular this incredible anecdote concerning the birth of his first child with his wife Fabienne, who unfortunately died in 2010.

86th candle to be blown out for Jean-Claude Narcy, this Tuesday, January 16. As a reminder, the man who is now in a relationship with a charming woman who is almost half his age made himself known to French television viewers at the very beginning of the 1960s. First presenter of the 8 p.m. news in Algiers, he then returned to France to try his hand at radio, on France Inter. He finally opted for regional television in Rennes, before becoming a senior reporter for ORTF then settling on TF1 in 1975 and for the rest of his career.

About ten years ago now, the native of Tours granted the regional daily The New Republic an interview in which he of course looks back on his career, but more generally on his life. Then providing our colleagues with some anecdotes, including one concerning the birth of Arnault (54 years old), his eldest: “It was Christmas 1967, I was commenting on the mass live from a small church in Yvelines. My wife, pregnant with our first son, absolutely wanted to attend. Her water broke on the square during the live broadcast! “

Let us remember that he had this child with his wife Fabienne, who unfortunately died on September 17, 2010. The couple also had another son: Thibaud (50 years old). Since his death, Jean-Claude Narcy has since found love alongside a woman much younger than him, named Alice Bertheaume. The latter is particularly known for having found itself in a legal case. In fact, on August 8, 2017, she was at the wheel of the car which caused the death of the writer Gonzague Saint Bris (her companion at the time) following an accident.

Alcoholic at the time of the shock, the forty-year-old escaped with some slight injuries, but found herself tried for intentional homicide. She was finally sentenced to six months in prison on May 15, 2018.
