The horizon is clearing up for journalist Jean-Jacques Bourdin, ousted from RMC and BFMTV after a complaint for sexual assault, closed since then. From August 29, he will be on Sud Radio.
Great return of Jean-Jacques Bourdin on the airwaves, from Monday August 29 and every morning from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Sud Radio. A great moment for the one who had been fired after 20 years at RMC then a few years on BFMTV. After having been suspended following a complaint for sexual assault, the 73-year-old journalist ended up being fired by the Altice group.
Patrick Roger welcomes “the arrival of a huge professional” on Sud Radio
This may be the end of the troubles for Jean Jacques Bourdin. While he thought of ending his career with the presidential elections of 2022,he was removed from the RMC and BFMTV channels at the start of the year, subject of a complaint for sexual assault of the journalist Fanny Agostini, before another woman follows suit for facts dating back to the late 80s. Fanny Agostini’s complaint was dismissed for prescription but it was already too late for the journalist, fired in a rather laconic way by the Altice group. Since then, although refuting all the facts with which he was accused, he had been discreet and it was during the start of the school year that the news broke: Jean-Jacques Bourdin is back in service, on another radio this time. On Twitter, the journalist announced “to be so happy” to find the listeners, considering that “Doing the job you love is an opportunity.”
This is South Radio which welcomes the journalist on its airwaves: from August 29, a brand new daily program will be broadcast from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. “Parlons vrai chez Bourdin”. For two hours, Jean-Jacques Bourdin will give the floor to listeners, guests, specialists and experts, in order to decipher the news, as the radio station indicates in a press release, as well as face-to-face meetings featuring to honor conflicting opinions, arbitrated by the journalist. Patrick Roger, General Manager of Sud Radio welcomed the arrival of “an immense professional who brings to our channel his rich experiencehis deep knowledge of the files, the incomparable relevance of his interviews and of course his very strong empathy with the public” in the person of Jean-Jacques Bourdin.
