Jean-Jacques Bourdin: the reaction of his wife to the accusations of attempted sexual assault

Determined to be heard, Anne Nivat then clarified: “It’s a pure coincidence that the promotion of my book, that is to say a moment when I find myself in the media, coincides with what happened this weekend”, she assures before declaring that she will not let these accusations disrupt the release of her book: “I would promote myself and talk about my book”, she concluded. That has the merit of being clear.

Jean-Jacques Bourdin is in the sight of justice. This was announced by Le Parisien this Saturday, January 15, claiming that a former RMC journalist had decided to break the silence. Indeed, she mentioned facts dating back to 2013 and which would have taken place in a hotel swimming pool during a press trip to Corsica. She was 25 at the time and assured that the journalist would have tried to kiss her by force. In the columns of the media, she related the facts. “I’m no longer a young journalist scared of losing my job and I know I didn’t have to go through what I went through.”, she assured before adding: “Today, I am tidy, peaceful. But for years, I went to work with fear in my stomach, completely stressed out. If she decides to come out of silence now, it’s because she “file a complaint with the conviction that other women are concerned and that this will perhaps allow other women to speak out”. Subsequently, she said that she had received insistent emails and text messages from Jean-Jacques Bourdin during the months that followed. “Powerful men need to ask themselves the question of the authority they exercise over women when they try to obtain sexual favors, since of course this history of authority reduces women to silence. That’s why it took her several years to file a complaint.” concluded the journalist’s lawyer.

For his part, Jean-Jacques Bourdin quickly spoke. “I know this person, and I worked with her. I admit to having bathed with her in the swimming pool of this hotel”, he first said. Subsequently, he has strongly denied the facts with which he is charged. “But I never tried to force-kiss her or anyone else.” he concluded. For now, the journalist remains presumed innocent.
