Jean-Luc Lahaye case investigation: his daughter Margaux threatened with indictment

Indicted for “rape of minors”, corruption of minors and abuse of weakness since November 5, Jean-Luc Lahaye, 69, is suspected of having sexually assaulted two teenage girls when they were aged 15 to 17 from of 2013, which he disputes. For nearly three months, he has been imprisoned in the prison of Health (Paris) in a district dedicated to sensitive personalities. His request for release, at the end of November, was rejected.

A preliminary investigation was opened in early 2021, after a new complaint from the two young girls, born in 1998 and 2000. They had previously filed a complaint against the singer, but then retracted.

Arrested the same day as her father, Margaux, one of the daughters of ”dad singer”, had seen her police custody for “tampering with witnesses and complicity in the rape of a minor over 15 years old” being lifted the day even because of her health condition – she has been a quadriplegic since an accident, a fall from two floors, in 2019.

His daughters suffered

Two women, the mothers of the two victims, heard for “non-denunciation of a crime and complicity in the rape of a minor over 15 years old”, had also been released, without prosecution. But it seems that the tide is turning for the three women. According to Le Parisien, Margaux and the mothers of the complainants are summoned next week by the examining magistrate for an indictment for “witness tampering” and “non-denunciation of a crime”.

Asked in 2019 on C8 about his previous convictions (in January 2007, he was sentenced to a fine of 10,000 euros for having had a sexual relationship with a minor, in 2015, to a suspended one-year prison sentence for “corruption” minor following sex games via webcams), Jean-Luc Lahaye confided that his daughters (Margaux, born in 1984 and Gloria, born in 1986) to whom he is close, had suffered from it: “They have very lived badly, very badly. But they were never ashamed of me. I am the main tree, my daughters are the first branches, and they are proud to bear my name”.
