Jean-Luc Lahaye has just been arrested and taken into police custody on suspicion of rape of two teenage girls. But no one knew at the time that the singer was again targeted by a preliminary investigation by the Paris prosecutor’s office, according to information from the Parisian. “Jean-Luc Lahaye was arrested this Wednesday morning in Paris by the police from the Central Office for the Repression of Violence against Persons (OCRVP) and placed in police custody for ‘rape and sexual assault on minors over 15 years old ‘as well as’ minor corruption’ “, explains the daily. The singer is suspected of having raped two teenage girls, aged 16 and 17, in 2013 and 2014. At the time, explains Le Parisien “the two minors were, according to their statements, under the influence of the singer whose hits they appreciated”. Jean-Luc Lahaye is also suspected of having asked them, via the Internet and interposed cameras, “to undress and take sexual poses”. They then lodged a complaint “before retracting”.

The two young women filed a complaint again in early 2021, after “to have become aware of the attacks suffered with hindsight and to have detached themselves from their admiration of Jean-Luc Lahaye”, in the words of the daily. Among the two alleged victims, we find the teenager who appeared in the 2015 case. Jean-Luc Lahaye was then sentenced to a one-year suspended prison sentence for having asked this 14-year-old girl to indulge in sex games by webcam interposed.

This new investigation therefore concerns rapes. Margaux, the daughter of Jean-Luc Lahaye, was also taken into custody this Wednesday morning for “subordination of witness”. She is suspected of having pressured the two teenage girls to keep quiet.
The singer’s custody can last 48 hours before a possible deferral. Due to his criminal record, the courts could request that he be placed in pre-trial detention.
