HASfter the “gaseous” political party, is it time for furtive unionism? The strike movement that is hitting the SNCF is not the result of a call for a strike by the big traditional trade union federations – who know what they have to lose in a period like this –, but of a collective baptized ASCT (Agents of the commercial train service). This structure brings together more than 3,500 controllers from all over France via a simple Facebook group.

If ASCT does not present itself as a direct competitor of traditional trade union organizations, it is because it needs them to bring its demands to the management of the SNCF.
