Iconic face of French television, and more particularly of TF1, Jean-Pierre Pernaut is died at the age of 71 March 2, 2022. The famous journalist died of lung cancer. The announcement of his disappearance shocked those close to him, but also millions of viewers across France. It must be said that the host was the historical incarnation of the 1 p.m. news from TF1. For 32 long years, he daily presented the midday news on the first channel, before finally passing the torch to Marie-Sophie Lacarrau in 2021. However, the journalist had not yet retired. In fact, he continued to regularly appear on the air of LCI. Unfortunately, his health concerns forced him to retire from the small screen, shortly before he took his last breath. Internet users also had a new example of this on Friday December 8, 2023. That day, the former Miss France wanted to celebrate a very symbolic birthday for her on Instagram. In fact, it has been exactly 22 years since Nathalie Marquay met Jean-Pierre Pernaut for the first time. “December 8, 2001, during the Miss France show. Our two souls who meet never to separate again. I love you“, notably wrote the mother of Tom and Lou Pernaut. To once again pay tribute to her late husband, Nathalie Pernaut published a video montage on which Internet users were able to discover different photos of Jean-Pierre Pernaut. In several photos, the journalist appears alongside his wife. On others, we can also see the couple’s children. One of the photos also shows Jean-Pierre Pernaut on the set of the 1 p.m. news from TF1with a huge cake to celebrate his 30 years at the head of the program.
