They were engaged before almost 20 years. Now Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are planning to get married again.
Jennifer Lopez (52) and Ben Affleck (49) want to get married! The singer and actress has confirmed that Bennifer are engaged. According to US media reports, Lopez shared the happy news with her fans in her newsletter. A spokesman for the 52-year-old also confirms the engagement to the magazine “People”.
Among other things Lopez also at least hints at the engagement of the two on Twitter. She can share a “really exciting and special story” with her fans, she explains in a short video clip. A diamond ring emoji adorns your profile name.
Affleck and Lopez have been engaged before
The couple had already planned their wedding around 20 years ago. “Yes, we’re engaged,” Lopez confirmed in a late 2002 interview with US television network ABC. In 2004, the singer and the actor announced their separation after two years together. The 52-year-old married Marc Anthony (53) shortly afterwards. With him she had the twins Emme and Max in 2008. Affleck also said yes to another: He married his fellow actress Jennifer Garner (49) in 2005, with whom he has three children: Violet (16), Seraphina (13) and Sam (10 ).
Affleck and Lopez got back together almost a year ago. Recently there had already been rumors of a renewed engagement after the singer appeared on paparazzi photos, published by “Page Six” among otherswas seen with a large diamond ring on her hand.
“A second chance”
early February Lopez told Peoplethat the couple is approaching their relationship differently than they used to. “It’s a beautiful love story that we got a second chance,” she explained. “We are older now, we are smarter, we have more experience, we are at different points in our lives, we have children now and we have to be very aware of these things.”
When they were together at the time, everything was very public. That also damaged the relationship. At the second attempt, the couple thought how happy they were – and that this shouldn’t happen again. Lopez has already hinted that she could see herself growing old with Affleck.
