Jennifer Lopez, 54,’s appearance on “Saturday Night Live” was pretty rough on Saturday evening: The singer and actress was introducing her new single “Can’t Get Enough” in the live show when a strand of hair broke during the performance solved.

The strand was extensions, which is why Lopez made short work of the artificial hair during her energetic choreography – ripping it off her head as inconspicuously as possible and letting it fall to the floor behind her. Lopez saved the potentially embarrassing situation with her professional reaction, as did fans among clips of the incident on social media.

The fact that she didn’t let her sudden “hair loss” throw her off track and continued to perform as if nothing had happened fascinates viewers on X, formerly Twitter. “The show must go on. JLo had the performance under control,” it says. “She handled it like a pro, but…” writes another fan with a laughing smiley. Another said in awe: “I didn’t even notice!”

SNL host Ayo Edebiri has a falling out with JLo

The new episode of SNL was hosted by “The Bear” actress Ayo Edebiri, 28. She had previously drawn the anger of JLo fans because she said in a podcast in 2020 that Lopez didn’t know how to sing. At the time, she joked, according to Page Sixthat the singer’s music career was “one long scam.” She went on to say that she has read theories that say Lopez doesn’t actually sing in any of her songs.

However, Edebiri took a dig at her uncharming backbiting in one of her sketches on the show, admitting: “It’s wrong to leave mean comments, or post comments just to gain influence, or rant on a podcast without the repercussions to think about because you’re 24 years old and stupid.”
