“Modern Family” star Jesse Tyler Ferguson (46) has revealed that the script for a spin-off series about his character has already been written.

The spin-off focuses on the couple Mitchell Pritchett and Cameron Tucker. The characters of Ferguson and Eric Stonestreet (50) are to start a new life in Missouri in the series.

producers wanted

Ferguson joined in the conversation at the Tony Awards “Entertainment Tonight” on the news: “The script is out and it’s very good,” said the actor. However, it is not yet clear whether it will be implemented. The “Modern Family” broadcaster ABC had decided against making another series about the Pritchetts or their appendages. Now the hopes lie with other producers. “So who knows? If someone wants to produce it, maybe,” the actor explained.

The successful series ran for eleven seasons from 2009 to 2020. The cast also included Sofia Vergara (49), Ed O’Neill (76), Ty Burrell (54), Ariel Winter (24) and Julie Bowen (52). Ferguson also had something else to celebrate on Monday night. The actor received his first Tony Award for his role in the play Take Me Out.
