JetBlue: prepares the end of the alliance with American Airlines

(CercleFinance.com) – American Airlines and JetBlue announce that they are working together to prepare for the end of their alliance, known as the Northeast Alliance.

As a result, American Airlines (AA) says codeshare flights between American and JetBlue will no longer be available for sale starting July 21.

‘This is only the first step in the liquidation process which will take place over the next few months. We will continue to work with the JetBlue team to ensure customers who have codeshare bookings can travel seamlessly without disrupting their travel plans.

As a reminder, last week, JetBlue announced that it was ending its alliance with AA, after an American court ruled this partnership as non-competitive. JetBlue had decided not to appeal this decision and to focus on its proposed merger with Spirit Airlines.
