“Odem and Sahteene”, these 2 talents were in the same singing school and burst into tears

During the latest night of The Voice cross-battles, two aspiring artists revealed they have something in common. And the emotion was there.

It’s been more than two and a half months since Vianney, Zazie, Bigflo and Oli, have found their coaching chairs In The Voice. For this season 13, Mika, who has already been a jury in the TF1 talent show, made a flamboyant return. The coaches and jurors competed in cleverness and speed to select their talents during blind auditions. But if the choice of singers who form their teams was already complex, the following steps are just as complex.

Indeed, at the cross-battle stage, competitors can only count on themselves to stay in the competition. The principle of this step is simple : it consists of pitting talent from different teams on the track. The public votes for the one who convinced them, at the end of their performance. And the one who received the fewest votes leaves the adventure.

The coaches surrendered blow after blowduring this last evening dedicated to cross-battles.

Wishing to take his revenge, the interpreter of I am a man selected Lize for the second duel, against Newhy, one of the talents of… Mika. The two young artists gave their all and delivered lively performances, as Nikos pointed out after their visit. “It’s the return match won for Zazie”said Nikos announcing the results of the votes. Two talents with one thing in common

Vianney then went to look for Bigflo and Oli. They selected Odem and Sahteene respectively. The singer with the powerful voice performed an iconic song: The singera title borrowed from the repertoire of Daniel Balavoine, which requires a certain mastery of one’s vocal cords. Odem made the song his own and held the note, in front of an impressed jury and an enthusiastic audience. It’s with Je suis un homme, a song written and performed by Zazie, that Sahteene defended her chances during cross-battles.

The young woman burst into tears after her performance. Odem rushed on stage to comfort her, also in tears. When they came to their senses, Nilkos made an unexpected announcement. Indeed, he revealed: “For the record, I think you were in the same singing school. And it’s a coincidence that you’re here”. Information which did not fail to surprise the coaches of the show. “And you didn’t know it”, Nikos told them. Question to which they answered: “No”. And with one vote difference (50.2% of the votes), it was Odem who won the cross-battle against his former comrade. Sahteene therefore left the adventure. A duel rich in emotion.
