J&J: FDA approves new breast implant

(CercleFinance.com) – Mentor Worldwide, a global brand specializing in breast aesthetics and part of the Johnson & Johnson Medical Devices Companies, today announced that the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved the MENTOR MemoryGel BOOST implant intended for breast augmentation in women 22 years of age or older, and women of all ages undergoing breast reconstruction.

“We are excited to provide a meaningful range of options to meet surgeons’ goals and patient preferences, beyond what is currently available in the breast aesthetics market,” said Lori Tierney, President of Mentor Worldwide LLC.

J&J says this implant leverages a proprietary gel, innovative implant shell design, and precision fill ratio, for increased shape stability.

This product will be available in the United States in early 2022, adds J&J.
