“Let’s Dance” juror Joachim Llambi felt “teddy bear-like” and lost weight. He has now revealed how he managed to shed the pounds.

A comment in December 2023 on the golf course was the final straw. Now the “Let’s Dance” juror presents himself Joachim Llambi, 59, a whopping six kilos lighter.

“After that remark from the man on the golf course in December 2023 – ‘Oh, it’s you, Mr Llambi. Man, I thought you were slimmer’ – the moment came when I thought: I’ll show you again!”, he remembers the turning point. As he continued to tell “Bild.de”, he simply didn’t feel good anymore. “I wanted to optimize my body for myself and get a little fitter,” said the Duisburg native.

Joachim Llambi reduced carbohydrates – and did sports

And so he gave himself a diet that was as simple as it was strict: by avoiding sweets and other high-calorie foods such as pasta, bread or a glass of wine with dinner, he reached his comfortable weight. “I came from 91.5 kilos and am now at 85.5 kilos,” Llambi gives concrete figures. He last had that weight around ten years ago. He admits that he “just felt more and more plump, so teddy bear-like.” He jokingly adds: “And now that I’m approaching 60, my stomach doesn’t have to grow proportionally with age.”

Llambi also reduced food rations. Since then there have only been two meals a day. “I have breakfast around 10 a.m. and dinner around 6 p.m., then nothing after that,” he says. And in his refrigerator in the “Let’s Dance” dressing room there is “only still water and sparkling water.” But he does treat himself to fruit “and maybe a few pretzel sticks.”

But he also tackled the other topic that is known to help you lose weight, sport. “I cycle three to four times a week and cover around 30 to 40 kilometers per trip,” says the former dance athlete, another part of his weight loss secret.

Joachim Llambi: Chief judge since season one

Joachim Llambi has been there since season one in 2006 – and since then he has been by far the most feared juror in the jury gallery.

Viewers can see for themselves how comfortable he feels with his new weight in the next edition of the TV dance show “Let’s Dance” this Friday evening (March 1st, from 8:15 p.m., RTL and RTL+). convince. The 14 celebrities and their dance professionals also want to dance convincingly in front of his eyes. At the end of the live show, someone will still be the first to leave the show.
