Joe Biden: Trump's behavior is "an embarrassment"

The times of noble restraint are over: Joe Biden has criticized Donald Trump for not accepting defeat.

Joe Biden (77) has sharply criticized the refusal of US President Donald Trump (74) to recognize Biden's election victory. According to US media reports, he was asked by a reporter on Tuesday what he thought of Trump not wanting to acknowledge his defeat. "I just think it's an embarrassment," Biden said in Wilmington, Delaware. That will not contribute to the "legacy of the president". The US President-elect, who has already made contact with other heads of state, is nonetheless certain that nothing will stop the handover of official duties.

Biden has already spoken to British Prime Minister Boris Johnson (56), French President Emmanuel Macron (42) and Chancellor Angela Merkel (66), among others. He wanted to "let them know that America is back. We'll be back in the game," he said.

Trump doesn't give up

Trump, meanwhile, renewed his fraud allegations on Twitter, for which he presented no evidence, and said he would ultimately win the race. Biden was declared the winner of the presidential election last Saturday, Trump announced that he would take legal action against it.
