Switzerland is his new home for Joey Heindle and his girlfriend Ramona. But there is still time for family planning, he reveals in an interview.

Joey Heindle (28) has already been through a lot when it comes to German TV shows. The singer has not yet gotten tired and still wants to experience a lot, but he enjoys his peace and quiet above all in nature. For some time now he has been happy with his girlfriend Ramona Elsener (29) and lives with her in Switzerland, where she works as a professional figure dancer.

Heindle already has a small family with her and two dogs. He says he cannot imagine becoming a father at the moment. That has a little to do with the fact that he was only recently divorced from his ex-wife Justine Heindle. “The last three years have been the most terrible time for me in my personal life,” he admits. In an interview with the news agency spot on news, Joey Heindle reports on his idyllic life in Switzerland, reveals what makes him currently happy and looks ten years into the future.

Her friend Ramona is also very busy as a professional athlete. When do you think it’s time to relax and maybe start a family?

Joey Heindle: Well, if I’m honest, we’re still a long way from that. You still have so much time and you are still young. I’m approaching 30 now. Ramona will be 30 next year. I think stress in life makes you crazy. You can also have children and get married when you are 35. The thing is, I recently got divorced. It took almost three years and that was an extremely difficult time for me, so we just need time for ourselves now. We have been together for three years and also live together. We are already a small family with two dogs.

I just don’t have the strength and the nerves for children now. I know I’m not ready for it now. I still want to do a lot of things and try out myself. You just can’t rush things, I’ve done that too often in my life. I don’t want that anymore.

In 2019 you said in an interview that you would like to have offspring in two to three years. So your wish has changed?

Heindle: Yeah. When I said that back then, I was still in the middle of a divorce. That cost me a lot of energy. The last three years have been the most terrible time for me in my personal life. It was very drawn out and then there was Corona and it didn’t go any further. I’m sure I’ll get married again. But now? I have to let everything sink in first.

Mona’s dream is to get married someday. But we have enough time – everything is cool, easy going. But 50 would be my limit to have children, so it will be difficult.

You currently live in Switzerland. How do you like it there?

Heindle: Whenever I’m back in Germany, I feel like I’m in Thailand when I see the prices. I allow myself a lot. Switzerland is already expensive. When eating, you can quickly lose 200 to 300 francs. But the landscape is great. We live in a small town where I am also part of the volunteer fire brigade. We have beautiful country lanes where you can take the dogs for a walk. I couldn’t live in the city, I would go nuts. For that matter, I’m an absolute farmer.

What makes you happy right now?

Heindle: Of course, what makes me happy is that I can be healthy, that I have a great family behind me, that my family is fine, that everyone is alive and well.

Otherwise I have to find out what else makes me happy. But I miss a lot of things extremely. For example, to stand on stage and sing – something is planned again. I just have to create a clarity for myself now and reflect.

What’s next for you?

Heindle: We’ll be shooting in Croatia this year. Nothing is planned on TV at the moment, it’s just a quiet phase. I’m getting my C1 driver’s license now so that I can drive an ambulance and work on the ambulance. I’ve learned that I really enjoy the job and I’ve seen many corona patients, which is why I got vaccinated.

The most glaring case was a boy my age who was in the ambulance. He was barely able to breathe. He was active in sports as a footballer. So anyone who says that the disease does not exist is simply nuts. I have seen for myself how badly the patients are. You should definitely take this seriously.

Who will Joey Heindle be ten years from now?

Heindle: Maybe by then I have made one or two big films. Who knows. What do you mean, who knows? In any case, I shot it.
I may still be training to be an emergency paramedic in the next ten years. And in ten years, I think there will be a child too. In ten years I want to help people and have my own house. A lot will happen in the next ten years. I stay positive and I also believe that there are still cool shows to come that I can do. In ten years I will be really off.
