Ten years later, still happy. John Legend and Chrissy Teigen have a magical wedding anniversary party on Lake Como.

John Legend, 44, and Chrissy Teigen, 37, celebrated their tenth wedding anniversary last month on Lake Como in Italy. “We had a big anniversary celebration,” says the musician in an interview with “People” magazine. “We wrote each other speeches reflecting on our love, our ten-year marriage and the family we have built. It was really a beautiful celebration,” he concludes. The EGOT star goes on to say that he is “currently going through the photos to put together a little book to commemorate this event” – it was “truly a magical time.”

“I think the biggest difference between our wedding and our anniversary celebration was the fact that we now have four children, so it was great that we were able to celebrate with them,” he adds, referring to Luna Simone (7), Miles Theodore (5), Esti Maxine (10 months) and Wren Alexander (4 months). “It was very emotional when we saw her there,” Legend continued.

Anniversary celebration started with brunch

Legend and Teigen, who tied the knot on September 14, 2013, kicked off their ten-year anniversary celebrations with a brunch at Villa Pizzo, the site of their wedding. “It was very romantic,” a source told the magazine. “They arrived by boat. It was breathtaking to see them still so happy together.”

Later during the event “arrived [John und Chrissy] on a balcony and greeted all the guests,” said the insider, who also said that Legend “gave a short speech later, after dinner.” “There was dancing and there was a bar by the lake that was very popular. The food was wonderful,” the source continued, adding that there were “flowers everywhere” at the romantic celebration. It was a “very elegant, very classy event.”

Also Chrissy Teigen herself told the magazine last month, that her wedding anniversary celebration with Legend was “really special.” “[Es war] a lot more emotional than I expected, but really so good,” she said. “I just feel so lucky and blessed, and in the cheesiest way. It was so damn sweet and wonderful.”

However, the model also admitted that she actually prefers to celebrate on a smaller scale, while her husband loves the grand style. “It means more to me to have a quiet night – but John loves parties. God bless him. God, he loves parties. He loves dates and he loves parties,” she said.

When asked if the two would like to do it again in another ten years, Teigen joked: “My accountant says I can do it every 25 years.”
