Several weeks after the announcement of the verdict of the trial opposing him to Amber Heard, Johnny Depp has decided to settle a large debt of his ex-wife. The actor has indeed decided to seize a promise that the actress had made following their divorce.

In 2016, after several years of relationship, Amber Heard and Johnny Depp announced their separation. The couple finally divorced in January 2017. But in the meantime, the 36-year-old actress had made the promise to donate his entire $7 million divorce payout, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA). A promise that she still has not honored, as revealed by the general counsel of the ACLU a few months ago. A subject on which Camille Vasquez, Johnny Depp’s lawyer, returned on May 16, while Amber Heard testified at the bar during the trial. Accused by the lawyer, the actress had ended up acknowledge that they have not yet paid the full amount of money.
800,000 euros in NFT donations
And this information has apparently marked Johnny Depp, because the latter wished donate $800,000 to various charities, including the two organizations that have never received a transfer from his ex-wife. This good news was announced by the Never Fear Truth account on Twitter. The donation actually represents theall of the earnings received through the sale of works of art in NFT (Non Fungible Token, “non-fungible token” in French), which are in fact tamper-proof digital titles attesting to the uniqueness of an object. “We are very grateful and grateful to the #neverfeartruth community for this huge achievement – making this project one of the most philanthropic NFT sales to date – and we look forward to building on this success to have an even greater impact at the future” explained Never Fear Truth on the social network, while indicating that the profits from the sales of NFTs of the actor had always been directed to charities.
