More than thirty years after its purchase. On December 5, 2017, Johnny Hallyday died in his house in Marnes-la-Coquette, in the Hauts-de-Seine, nicknamed The Savannah. Very quickly after the death of her husband, Laeticia had put this house up for sale. At the time, it was estimated at around twenty million euros, but had been put on the market at 15 million, reports Marianne. Just over four years later, the property was finally sold at a completely different price.

Two sales proposals later, it’s businessman Pierre Reynaud who should be the next owner of La Savannah. Bought in the 1990s for 4.5 million euros and totally renovated by the singer for 5 million euros, the property has been sold for 8.5 million eurosaccording to information from Marianne.

Johnny Hallyday’s luxury property at a bargain price

Despite two proposals since 2017, Laeticia has never managed to conclude the sale of La Savannah. A source familiar with the matter is said to have confided that “the next day” the national funeral of the singer, “the tax authorities launched precautionary mortgages on all the assets of the estate, forcing Laeticia today to sell off La Savannah to avoid a seizure”. The House of more than 1,000 m2, made up of ten rooms, five bedrooms, a cinema room, served by a lift and featuring a swimming pool and a tennis court, will henceforth be the property of Pierre Reynaud. The businessman was indicted for “witness tampering” and “extortion” in the case of the suspected Libyan funding Nicolas Sarkozy’s 2007 presidential campaign.
