Joko Winterscheidt, 44, and Klaas Heufer-Umlauf, 40, competed together again on Tuesday evening (October 24th) against their home channel ProSieben. In the second episode of the seventh season of “Joko & Klaas vs. ProSieben” they once again fought against their employer for 15 minutes of primetime broadcast time, which they can fill as they wish. But the presenter duo could not achieve a victory.

In game one “Listen, throw and catch” the moderator duo had to recognize thrown objects only by their sound. Dancer and choreographer Nikeata Thompson, 43, and Riccardo Simonetti, 30, competed against Heufer-Umlauf and Winterscheidt. After, among other things, a keyboard and a bag of chips flew through the ProSieben studio, the duo initially went into the next round without an advantage.

Victory at “Blinkeln”, but defeat in the final

In game two “Blink” things went much better. The moderators easily master various tasks during which they are allowed to blink a maximum of 150 times and gain an advantage. Heufer-Umlauf also demonstrated his athletic skills at the following national youth games in the dark and achieved victory.

After further successful games, the big finale came. Moderator Steven Gätjen, 51, had previously announced the station’s “punishment”, which was passed on from the last broadcast: In the event of a defeat, Joko and Klaas will have to watch the mini-series “Joko & Klaas” for the in-house streaming platform Joyn in the Zoo”, a three-part animal documentary. The station showed the first episode immediately after the recorded show on Heufer-Umlauf’s late-night program “Late Night Berlin – With Klaas Heufer-Umlauf”.

The presenter duo went into the finale with a whopping five advantages gained beforehand by 15 broadcast minutes. The final game had the beautiful title “I’ll throw my ball at you”. Joko and Klaas had to throw 15 basketballs to each other and somehow attach them to their bodies without them falling. If a ball falls to the ground, it is considered a mistake and an advantage is lost.

Right from the start, however, things didn’t go well for Winterscheidt and Heufer-Umlauf. Balls quickly fall down with simple movements and the advantages disappear. This time there was no victory and no 15 minutes of broadcast time for the duo. Instead, they must fulfill their employer’s requirements.

By the way, ProSieben showed how the challenging basketball final game could have been won after the broadcast of “Joko & Klaas against ProSieben”. still on X (formerly Twitter).
