Jonka benched by G2 after poor results at Six Invitational Open Qualifier

After not having succeeded to qualify for the Six Invitational 2022, it was time to do some cleaning at G2. The structure, who had poor results in these Six Invitational Open Qualifiers 2022 on Rainbow Six: Siegehas decided Benchmark Jonas “Jonka” Kaczmarzykone of the latest additions to the roster.

Before being at G2, Jonka went through MNM Gaming with whom he finished second in the 2020 EU Challenger League season. It’s then alongside Lucas “Hungry” Reich, which the young German joins G2 Esportstaking the place of the Finnish duo by Juhani “Kantoraketti” Toivonen and Aleksi “UUNO” Työppönen after being eliminated during the Six Invitational 2021 by Parabellum in the first round of the playoffs.

After the arrival of Jonka, we had the right to good results, theteam even getting a second place in the European League during Stage 2. However, during stage 3, the structure does not suffer only from 7th place and during the Major in Mexico, it was during the group stage that G2 left the tournament.

This year G2’s dreams of competing at the highest level and especially at the Six Invitational, broke quite quickly. During the open qualifiers of this Six Invitational 2022, it is against Dead Inside that the roster will experience disappointment, finishing eliminated. This is the first time that G2 will not be present at this event since arriving on R6.

It was obvious that if a change was to take place, Jonka was going to be affected and it is. In view of his poor results, consistently finishing last in statistics, for ratings of 0.92, 0.73 and 0.78 on SiegeGG, G2 had to act. The player therefore finds himself benched and is also allowed to look for a new home. At present, however, he still hasn’t found a new team.
