Sky and Jörg Dahlmann go their separate ways. The decision was announced three weeks after the famous Sophia Thomalla saying.
The well-known sports commentator Jörg Dahlmann (62) and the pay TV channel Sky will end their collaboration at the end of the current Bundesliga season. Dahlmann himself initially announced a "farewell tour" via Instagram, and his broadcaster made a statement shortly afterwards. A statement said that they had discussed a long time ago that they would go their separate ways after the season. Dahlmann would continue to be heard live on Sky until the end.
Neither side commented on the reasons. Most recently, Dahlmann drew attention to himself with a questionable saying in the direction of Sophia Thomalla (31) and then had to deal with the allegation of sexism. Three weeks ago he commented on the DFB-Pokal game Union Berlin against Paderborn and said about Thomalla's partner, goalkeeper Loris Karius (27): "Now in Berlin he just sits on the bench.
